Dunham Hills Country Club has been around for 60 years, serving as a staple in the community. This site has been a gathering place for countless families, hosting events like fish fries and dinners. In 2024, it underwent renovations, bringing the on-site restaurant into the modern age. Their goal has been consistent from the start: create a destination place where people from all across the country will want to spend their time. It was their own way to revitalize Motor City and help people discover what makes Detroit so amazing!
Outside of the restaurant walls, you will be treated to a golfer’s paradise! The exterior was inspired by UK golf courses and designed by one of the top land architects. Now, it’s an accessible yet elevated space worthy of pretty much any kind of event!
Details of the Grounds
With Dunham Hills Country Club, you will have several spots where you can host your wedding. One of the most popular options is The Event Lawn. This outdoor location offers some of the very best views of the course, putting the rolling green hills in your backdrop. You will have total freedom over the layout, finding the arrangement that will work best for your style. With this area, you will be able to host up to 300 guests.
If you are hosting a more intimate ceremony, you can use The Fountain Terrace. This spot is nothing short of dreamy! The ground is paved in stone, while a balcony will let your guests look out over the property. A tall tree stands just off to the corner, adding a little life to the space. There is also a wooden pergola at the front that you can use for your altar. This area can host up to 100 guests.
If you do prefer an indoor ceremony, you will be able to use The Banquet Hall. Newly decorated, this area was created to be a blank slate so you can bring your own personal style. With this area, you will be able to host up to 300 guests.

For your cocktail hour, your guests can stay out on The Fountain Terrace and enjoy the views as you take your wedding portraits. If you would prefer, the venue will let you reserve a spot on the Event Lawn.
Finally, it will be time for your reception. This part of your evening can happen inside the Banquet Hall. This space is simply stunning with towering walls that give way to vaulted ceilings. A fireplace stands at the back of the room, giving you the perfect surface to add your decorations and botanicals. The space has been painted with neutral colors and illuminated with string lights and chandeliers. Large windows have been strategically placed throughout the room to invite in plenty of natural light. The hardwood floors will be the ideal spot for hours of dancing! The room can additionally be divided up if you decide you want a smaller, more intimate space.
