I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all photographer. You have to find the right photographer for you; one who not only matches your style, but who clicks with your personality and will help you to shine. I work hard to ensure that my couples have a wonderful experience, and the first step in that process is making sure that we are a great fit for one another. Interested in working with me? Become official!
Once the online contract has been signed and a 20% non-refundable retainer has been paid, we're official! Then we can set up a date for your engagement session!
Engagement Session
Your engagement session is important as this is where we get to know each other, and you and your fiancé will learn to relax in front of the camera before your big day! Many couples worry that they aren't photogenic or that they won't do well, but don't worry, that's normal! In the first 20 minutes of your session, I'll teach you everything you need to know about posing, and after that you'll be pros. Together, we will turn your nerves into joy and laughter to create images that you can cherish forever. After your session, you will receive an online gallery and custom mobile app with all your images that you can share with your friends and family.
Create Your Timeline
You're new to all this and creating a timeline can be stressful! You may be questioning how much time to plan for getting ready pictures or family formals? How much reception coverage does one really need? Don't worry! With over 9 years of experience, I am here to help you! We will create a custom timeline perfect for your wedding day! This timeline will ensure that your wedding day flows perfectly and that all your must have portraits are captured.
Wedding day
After all that planning, your wedding day has FINALLY arrived! As your friends and family begin to gather and you start to get ready, trust that you will be taken care of. I will use the timeline we created together to ensure your wedding day is on schedule and am willing to step in as needed to assist with any stressors that may arise. My job is to make sure that you can enjoy this day as you marry the love of your life in front of your friends and family while I "write" your story for you to remember forever.
Gallery Delivery
Relive your wedding day together with your online gallery filled with hundreds of images! You will receive an email with links to your online gallery and a custom mobile app that you can enjoy together and share with family and friends. This gallery will be available for at least 2 years! If you ordered an album, I will design the pages and send them over for you to review and customize as you wish before ordering. Albums are a wonderful way to share your wedding day with your kids, grandkids, and the many generations to come.

With a simple post on Facebook, you can gather a list of over 100 photographers in the Blue Water Area. You may be feeling overwhelmed and unsure about who to trust to capture your wedding day. So why should you choose me? Because I understand the importance of a photo and will work hard to not only capture the feel of your day, but also the special people you invited.
I lost my father in 2021 and will never have the chance for him to walk me down the aisle or to share a dad and daughter dance. I have had past couples lose parents or grandparents only weeks or months after their wedding and the photos I took are the last ones they will ever have. The people in our lives are important and I not only capture the details of your day, I capture the people who helped to make it so special.
At a reception not everyone gets out on the dance floor, many, especially the elderly, will stay seated the whole time. I do my best to capture at least one image of everyone at your wedding by not only photographing the dance floor, but those sitting at tables too. Your wedding day is something that cannot be redone; relax and trust me to take care of you and those you love.

I'm based near Memphis, Michigan, and love to travel! Sessions further than 30 miles from Memphis, Michigan will incur a travel fee. Mention your location when you contact me, and I will provide a quote. If your location is on my list of places I'd like to photograph, you may be eligible for special pricing.
You will receive an email with your online gallery link, a bonus mobile app, and other instructions 6-8 weeks after your wedding. This timeframe could be shorter depending on the season.
Typically, I average 100 images per hour during a wedding, but this number will vary based on several factors. How many hours you've selected, your wedding party size, the number of guests, your reception events, the amount of time you've provided for bride and groom portraits, etc., will change the number of images in your gallery.
Your photos will be delivered in an online gallery and curated into folders from the various parts of your day. At the beginning of your gallery, you will see an "April's Favorites" folder, this is where I put images that I consider to be the best of the best when telling your story. As a bonus you will also receive a link to a mobile app. The images in your online gallery are larger files and are best for downloading to your computer, meanwhile the mobile app downloads are smaller files that don't take up as much storage on your phone and are a better size for sharing on social media. Feel free to share these links with your friends and family.
My preference is to use natural light while taking portraits, but I am fully equipped to work with flash in any scenario. My goal is to have a similar look and feel with my flash images as I have with my natural light images, this way you'll receive a gallery that is consistent throughout your day.
First, you will need to fill out the inquiry form on my website. Once I receive this, I will send you an email with a couple of questions and a link to my pricing guide full of information. Your wedding is a day that cannot be repeated so I want to make sure we are a perfect fit and that I'm the right person for you. If you choose to book with me, a contract will need to be signed and a 20%
non-refundable retainer paid.
I am currently booking 2024-2025 wedding dates. I know 2 years out seems far away but not in the wedding world! Dates are filled quickly, and I only accept 18-20 weddings a year. Booking further out will give you more options when picking vendors and venues, it will spread out your payments helping to make things more affordable, and you'll be able to choose the perfect season for your engagement session.
My wedding packages include one photographer, with the option to add a second photographer. If you decide on a second photographer, I will hire a photographer who I trust to work with me on your wedding day. If I can, I would love to bring a wedding day assistant to help me. They will capture the day for social media and get bonus coverage (phone videos) of your day! You would also get these bonus videos from me after your wedding!
I do! I know this is an investment, so I make it easier by offering various payment plans that work with your budget. Unless otherwise requested, your total will be divided into 4 payments, but can be customized as needed. The non-refundable deposit to hold your date is 20% at the signing of your contract.
My cameras record each photo to 2 different memory cards. If there is an issue with a memory card, I have a backup!
After your wedding, I transfer your wedding photos to a solid state hard drive and do not delete them from my camera cards until after your images are edited and uploaded to your online gallery.
For your engagement session, we can reschedule if the weather is bad, although I have worked in snow and rain. On your wedding day, obviously rescheduling isn't an option, but don't worry! I have a collection of clear umbrellas and can rearrange the schedule to accommodate for anything.
In my 9+ years of photographing weddings, I have never missed a wedding. I would love to say that this will always be the case, but unfortunately, we never know what the future holds. In the case of an emergency, you have the option to trust me to provide a backup photographer that I have all the confidence in to photograph your wedding day, or you can choose your own replacement.
