When you plan a winter engagement session in Michigan you usually expect snow, but unfortunately for Brittany and Stephen their was no snow until the night after there session. Just our luck…
We originally scheduled their engagement pictures for January 9th but when Friday came, and the little snow we did have was mostly melted, we postponed for the following weekend. I had been hearing rumors of snow coming so we were hopeful, but unfortunately the snow didn’t come. We didn’t let that stop us this time; it was Brittany’s birthday so we were going to make the most of it! 🙂
Brittany and Stephen met online four years ago and had an instant connection. They dated for a while before Stephen proposed to Brittany in Lexington, Michigan surrounded by friends and family. Brittany chose to have their engagement pictures taken at her cousins house, where they will be getting married this summer.
As fate would have it, luck was not on Brittany’s side, and her curling iron died the morning of their session. Fortunately, her cousin came to the rescue with a curling wand, and I helped Brittany style her hair prior to getting started. Once the hair was done we spent the next two hours exploring the property. We dodged puddles, froze a bit, and laughed the whole time!
I loved working with both Brittany and Stephen and am so excited for their wedding day this summer! When it should be much warmer out! Here are a few of my favorite images from their engagement session! 🙂
