Princess Loralei

β€œWhen we are children we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind.” -Patrick Rothfuss

One of my favorite things about a couture dress session is the way each girls face lights up when she sees the dress for the first time. Once they are in the gown the sudden urge to spin around and flow the skirt out takes over and they love it! Seeing these little girls so happy and truly feeling beautiful is priceless and something that I look forward to at every session.

Loralei was one of the little girls I had the privilege to photograph in this beautiful dress from Bentley and Lace. I have known Loralei since she was born and it was so much fun to photograph this sweet little girl! She loved the dress and even wanted to take it home; that’s when I had to explain that sadly I couldn’t keep it either.. πŸ™

Loralei is only three years old, but she rocked this session! Her mom and my sister were at the session to help and the only way we could get a real smile out of Loralei was if my sister Stacy was interacting with her. Sometimes I had to be pretty creative to crop Stacy out but we made it work!

Here are a few of my favorites from Loralei’s session!

One of my FAVORITES! Loralei killed the “model” pose!

There are just no words for this image! She is a beauty inside and out! <3

The crooked grin smile lol

One of the many play breaks with Aunt Stacy πŸ™‚

Follow the eyes in most of the smiling pictures and that’s where Aunt Stacy is. lol

Can you guess where Aunt Stacy is hiding in the picture on the left? lol

Playground break before the second location.

Love this!! <3
