Embrace The Beauty Of The Trillium Farm Events Wedding Venue

There’s a reason why farmhouse weddings have managed to outlast every other wedding trend. These celebrations give you the chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of the outside world in exchange for something simple yet timeless. This is your place to dress it all up and infuse your style through every moment of your celebration. It’s just a matter of finding the spot that understands your vision. As a Michigan wedding photographer, I get the chance to travel all across the state searching for the best venues around. Here’s what makes Trillium Farm Events the ideal place for your country wedding!

About The Trillium Farm Events Wedding Venue

16191 32 Mile Rd, Armada, Michigan 48005

Nestled in the heart of Armada, Michigan, Trillium Farm is a spot that has been here for nearly two centuries. In fact, the 1831 Colonel Norman Perry House at the center of the property is one of the oldest buildings in all of Macomb County. Over the years, the house has lived quite a few lives, serving as a schoolhouse before being purchased as a family home in the early 1970s. While the barns on the property are newer than the house, they still pack quite a bit of history. Classic craftsmanship continues to show through every nook and cranny, and vintage details are guaranteed to shine throughout your celebration. When you choose Trillium Farm Events as your wedding location, you can share in the traditions of countless Michigan couples, raising a toast while surrounded by the rich past of the property.

Details of the Grounds

With Trillium Farm Events, you will have everything you could possibly need right on the grounds! The morning of your wedding, you will be taken to the farmhouse, where both you and your beloved will have a private space where you can each get ready with your respective wedding parties. The house is a split-level with a bridal suite on top, so you can stay separate. Then, once it’s time for your first look, the antique staircase will serve as the perfect spot!

Next up comes the ceremony. The venue offers a number of options for your service. If you would prefer something shaded, the Corn Crib is your best option! This area is rustic and intimate, with enough space to accommodate up to 96 chairs. Natural light shines through weathered slats while added greenery brings life to this historic space! For those who would prefer something outdoors, you will have your choice between open fields as well as the area that rests between the two barns. During the right months, there’s a good chance you’ll catch the wildflowers in bloom, giving you the very best decorations nature can offer!

Your Dream Trillium Farm Events Cocktail Hour And Reception

Once it’s time for your cocktail hour, your guests can head to the permanent 12-foot bar located inside the primary event barn. They can order specialty drinks before heading back outside to take a tour of the truly magnificent property!

Finally, it will be time for your wedding reception. The interior of the event barn is the perfect option for this! The space is truly grand with chandeliers dangling from the wooden rafters. The age-worn walls let in the warm light of the sunset, while the string lights on the ceiling will illuminate the room late into the evening. The back of the barn additionally has an unseen workspace where your caterers can store any added supplies. They will have their own separate breezeway and door to ensure your party is nothing short of seamless!

The interior of the barn will host 100 guests due to fire safety regulations. If you would like more guests, the venue will work with you to create auxiliary seating so you can have the party of your dreams!

Photography Opportunities

While Trillium Farm Events has countless photo opportunities, there are a few I always recommend! At the beginning of the day, you will want to use the bridal suite for candid and individual portraits. This space stays true to the theme of the house with white distressed walls and large mirrors with antique frames. It will give you the perfect backdrop for this part of your morning!

There’s a good chance you will want to incorporate the staircase throughout your day. The steps give you the ideal opportunity to show off your train, while the landing can be a great spot leading up to your first look portraits.

Following your wedding, you can use the fields for your group and family portraits. The open fields will give you a flat and accessible space to ensure every member of the family can be there with you! You can also use the paved space in front of the barn for a more rustic setting.

Lastly, the wildflower fields are a dreamy spot for your couples’ portraits. With sunflowers and cosmos, you’ll have bright colors to shine through every frame!

Wedding Details

At Trillium Farm Events, they give you the chance to make your wedding day your very own. They let you bring in your own caterer and your own bartender, and they have a planning company to help you work through the details of your day. Because the heart of the venue is a 100-year-old barn, they do not have on-site bathrooms, but they will set up a luxury bathroom trailer for your guests to use throughout the day.

The barn also does not have heating or cooling, so they only offer weddings from May through October. They have weekend rentals if your guests would like to leave their cars, and there are nearby hotels where you can block out rooms. Don’t worry, most ride-sharing apps service the area to simplify things even more. By the way, the venue is pet-friendly to ensure your pup doesn’t have to miss out on your day!

I Hope Trillium Farm Events Ticks All The Boxes For Your Dream Venue
