About The Atlas Valley Golf Club Wedding Venue

Atlas Valley Golf Club has a history nearly as impressive as the grounds themselves! The course was dreamed up by Flint residents who wanted a place where they could go to relax. It started out when 37 residents pitched in $500 each to create the club. They used that money to purchase the Medbury farm, transforming the colonial home into the clubhouse. The course opened its doors on Memorial Day of 1912 before their official ribbon cutting on Independence Day of that same year.
Over the years, the club would face its share of hardships. The original clubhouse burned down in the 1920s and was replaced with one of the property’s barns. Just four years later, this structure also burned down. The clubhouse was rebuilt in the 1930s and continues to serve as a backdrop for legendary parties.
These days, the site continues to preserve its history while finding brand new ways to accommodate everyone who stops by. Whether you are playing a round of golf or are writing the next chapter of your love story, this is a venue you will never want to forget!
Details of the Grounds
When you book the Atlas Valley Golf Club for your wedding, you’ll have everything you need right there on the grounds! The venue has a designated bridal suite that you are going to adore. This space is perfectly feminine with blush pink velvet furniture and floral wallpaper. You can finish your makeup in the vanity mirrors and have a separate space where you can slip into your dream dress. Not only is it luxurious, but it’s also a great backdrop for all of your pictures! Oh, and don’t worry about the groom. The guys will have their own area, complete with a golf simulator.
Once it’s time for your ceremony, you will have several options. If you would prefer an indoor wedding, you can use the events space. While this area is quite large, it still manages to feel intimate. There is a fireplace at the front with a mantle ideal for your wedding flowers. While it looks beautiful as is, it becomes downright transcendent with drapery!
If you would prefer an outdoor ceremony, you can head out to the course, where you can take in all of the views. Their designated wedding space is surrounded by open fields with lush trees showing off in the background. During summer, it’s bright and green. Then, once fall hits, you get those delicious, vibrant colors. No matter the season, you are going to have a picture-perfect backdrop!
Once you have finished tying the knot, you can take your pictures while your guests head back toward the clubhouse for your cocktail hour. The outdoor patio is the best spot for this, offering a paved space where your guests can enjoy drinks while taking in the surrounding backdrop.
Wedding Reception Options At Atlas Valley Golf Club
Then, it will be time for your reception. Those who prefer to move inside can use the event hall. This space works across all styles with light gray walls, beige carpets, and large windows that look out over the course. The working fireplace is always a nice touch!
If you would prefer an outdoor wedding reception, the venue will let you use the patio. You can enjoy a dinner beneath the stars before it’s time to dance the night away! In total, this venue is able to accommodate up to 200 guests, and the event spaces can be divided up however you’d like.

We’ve already chatted a bit about the get-ready rooms, but they really are so good for your pictures! Beyond the adorable decor, this space has large windows that let in plenty of natural light.
Once it’s time for your first look/couple’s portraits, you can explore the grounds. They have so many stunning spots, such as the wooden footbridge, the antique barn, and the darling cottage. And of course, you will have the sprawling course you can use!
Finally, the outdoor ceremony site is the best place for your family portraits. While the landscape is lovely, the grounds are pretty flat, making them accessible to all!
