DoubleTree Port Huron Wedding | Mike + MacKenzie

bride and groom outside holding hands at snowy DoubleTree Port Huron wedding

Mike and MacKenzie’s DoubleTree Port Huron wedding was my last wedding of 2021, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with! Their wedding was supposed to be in January but was postponed due to Covid-19. I was sad at first because I love winter photos but, in the end, I was not disappointed! Just as we were heading out for their first look it started to snow in the most magical way and continued to snow for the rest of the day.

Mike and MacKenzie met in middle school and reconnected in college at Wayne State University. Over time their friendship grew into something more and after 5 years, Mike proposed to MacKenzie at their favorite spot in Stoney Creek. It’s this hidden path surrounded by evergreens and it’s the same place where we did their engagement portraits.

Mike and MacKenzie started their wedding day getting ready at the DoubleTree Hotel in Port Huron. We then headed outside to the little patio area for their first look. It was a chilly day but these two did AMAZING! If we weren’t on a schedule to get to the ceremony, I could have photographed them even longer.

Their ceremony and reception took place at Alexander’s Premier Banquet Hall where they shared their vows surrounded by family and friends.

Enjoy a small peak into their magical day!! <3
