About The Cascades Manor Wedding Venue

1970 Kibby Road, Jackson, Michigan 49203

Cascades Manor is a stunning estate originally built in the early 20th century. The house was first intended as the clubhouse for the Cascades Golf Course and spent a few years serving this purpose. Shortly after, Jackson County decided it wanted to restructure the golf course and build a new clubhouse to go along with it. As a result, the original building was left completely abandoned. In the 1990s, local businessman Frank Myers decided it was time to give the home a purpose. He oversaw renovations and created a nonprofit to save the building. The result was a complete restoration ready to last for generations. When you book Cascades Manor as your wedding venue, you will have a space that celebrates history while giving you all the amenities you could need!

Cascades Manor offers several inclusive packages, giving you the ability to pick and choose what you might need for your wedding day. If you do decide to get ready on the property, you will be able to have an area where you can put on the finishing touches ahead of your celebration.

With your ceremony, you will have several indoor and outdoor options. For those who would prefer a wedding overlooking the picture-perfect surroundings, you can use the Grounds & Sparks Foundation Park. This is going to give you access to their storybook gazebo nestled near the banks of the water. Your guests will sit on the lawn, enjoying gorgeous views as you exchange your vows. Just a note about this area: this part of the property is owned by Jackson County. While you will have permission to use the exterior for your ceremony, they cannot guarantee private access. This typically isn’t an issue, but it is something you will want to know ahead of time.

If you do prefer shelter from the unpredictable Michigan weather, the Sparks Room is your space. This ballroom has the feeling of an old-world German manor with a gambrel vaulted ceiling. Lights hang from the wooden beams while a wood-burning fireplace keeps the space warm. As you tie the knot, you will feel as though you have just wandered into the pages of a fairytale!

Cocktails And Wedding Receptions At Cascades Manor

Your cocktail hour can happen just outside the building on the patio. A low fence keeps this space secluded while bistro lights twinkle late into the evening. As your guests enjoy hand-crafted cocktails, they can take in the serene sights.

Finally, it will be time for your reception. The venue has two primary spots for this. If you need a larger place for your crowd, you can choose the Myers Room. This spot can host up to 250 guests. The room has been decorated with a neutral shade of tan, while iron chandeliers hang from the ceiling. The large windows keep the surrounding park primarily in view throughout. The venue can add a dance floor for events with fewer than 175 guests.

For those hosting a smaller wedding, the Sparks Room is your place. This area is able to hold up to 60 guests, giving you the perfect spot for an intimate celebration.

Photography Opportunities

With Cascades Manor, you will have several ideal spots for your wedding portraits. The park is always a favorite! Not only can you get pictures in the gazebo, but you will also have grassy fields and waterfront views. Before your wedding starts, you can use this spot to take pictures alongside your bridal party. Then, once you are officially married, you can share a kiss before heading out to the banks of the water. This area is perfect any hour of the day, but it becomes downright transcendent once the golden hour hits. You can share a moment with just the two of you as the sun starts to set beneath the trees. I also recommend snapping a few pics in front of the venue itself so you can show off the grandeur!

Wedding Details

Now, let’s talk about all the ways this venue will take care of you throughout your wedding day. As I mentioned earlier, their wedding packages are pretty fantastic. You will be able to pick and choose the options that work best for you. While they do offer packages ready to host several hundred guests, their micro-wedding packages remain a local favorite. This will give you up to 7 hours on site while taking care of all the tables and linens, as well as set-up and clean-up. Event planning services will be available if needed. This package can accommodate up to 75 guests. Their normal wedding packages bring you the same amenities, just on a larger scale. These packages can be customized as needed, and you can add on services if you need a little something extra. They also have packages you can build yourself.

The culinary team at this location is pretty darn amazing! They offer dinner buffets with specialties like honey-glazed ham, chicken cordon bleu, and Italian lasagna. You can also work with them to build an hors d’oeuvres menu your guests can enjoy while you take your portraits.
